Brown Marble Refinished to Like New
Dull, Scratched Brown Marble Table Top
Homeowners in the North Tamiami Trail / Fruitville Road area contacted us because their beautiful Brown Marble table top had become dull and scratched with use over the years. Since they did not want to replace the top, they asked us to refinish the stone.
Our Marble Refinishing Process
We carefully examined the entire top and found no chips or cracks. We determined that the scratches were shallow enough that grinding the stone would not be necessary. Our traditional stone refinishing process began with using heavy grit diamond pads mounted on a hand tool to hone the surface of the marble, virtually erasing all the surface damage and revealing the brand new stone underneath. We then used a series of finer and finer diamond grits to achieve a highly reflective, elegant polished finish. Finally, we applied a high quality impregnating sealer to inhibit staining.
The homeowners were very glad that they did not have to replace their table top, which would have been quite expensive compared to the cost of restoration. They were amazed at the clarity and how new the marble looked.
