Marble Vanity Polished Finish Restored
Marble Vanity in Poor Condition
Homeowners in Longboat Key, Florida noticed that the finish on their marble vanity had become diminished over the years. There were a few spots with etch damage, and the reflection of the finish had all but disappeared.
Honing and Polishing Restored the Marble Finish
We covered the surfaces surrounding our work area as a precautionary measure and then set to work honing the marble. Our honing process is similar to sandpaper in wood refinishing. Honing erased the etch damage and revealed a brand new layer of stone. We replaced the diamond-infused pads on our hand tools with progressively finer grits, working in layers until we achieved a lustrous polish.
The homeowners were amazed at how our marble restoration process made the vanity top look brand new again.
